Frequently Asked Questions
Pitching Stuff works with students ages 8-21. Coach Monas believes that age 8 is a good age to begin learning the pitching motion and recommends 1/2 hour private lessons for students ages 10 and under. Depending on the individual student, those twelve and older can typically handle 1-hour private lessons, but both group and individual lessons are available based on the student's preference.
Pitching Stuff offers three types of lessons: 1/2 Hour Private Lessons, 1 Hour Private Lessons, and 1 Hour Group Lessons (maximum of 4 students). Group lessons are great for camaraderie and friendships and the girls learn from each other as well as Coach Monas. A lesson typically includes a Pitching Warm-up and a Focus for that lesson that will be emphasized through the entire lesson and needs to be worked on at least 3-5 times during the week.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we strive to accommodate our students to the best of our ability. To ensure fairness and efficiency in managing cancellations, we have established the following policy:

No Refund Policy:

Cancellation Procedure:
To cancel a lesson and request a refund, students must directly notify Coach Monas via email or phone call.
Cancellation requests received via phone, email, or in person will be acknowledged promptly by Coach Monas
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 3 business days from the date of cancellation notification.

This is different for each age and skill group. Depending on your weekend tournament schedule, to assure continuous improvement you should be pitching 3-5 days a week. A lesson throwing 75-100 pitches, a medium workout of 60-75 pitches, and a light workout between 45-60 pitches. Beginners are encouraged to work into their glove and use a mirror to see and feel themselves execute the proper mechanics of the motion!
